Common Questions

Why can't Herald find any services?

Herald discovers services using Bonjour (mDNS/DNS-SD) on your local network. Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Services advertised by other devices on the same network should appear automatically.

Does Herald collect any data?

No. Herald operates entirely on your local network and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is Herald free?

Yes. Herald is free and open source under the MIT License.
